🚍 Victoria is adding almost 100 bus shelters.
Most people will scroll past that headline.
I didn't.
Because one of the biggest mistakes buyers, sellers, and investors make is focusing only on the property and not enough on the neighbourhood.
When I look at local news, I don't just ask:
"What happened?"
I ask:
"What could this mean five years from now?"
The City of Victoria plans to add or replace nearly 100 bus shelters by the end of 2026.
Will a bus shelter suddenly increase property values?
No.
But that's not the point.
🏡 Real estate value is often influenced by dozens of small improvements over time.
Better transit.
Better walkability.
Better accessibility.
Better connections to schools, shopping, services, and employment.
For buyers, these improvements can make daily life easier and expand the areas that make sense for your lifestyle.
For sellers, neighbourhood investments can help strengthen how buyers perceive an area.
For investors, infrastructure improvements are often one of many indicators that support future demand and rental appeal.
What most people miss is that neighbourhoods are constantly evolving.
The best real estate decisions aren't only based on what a community looks like today.
They're based on understanding where it may be heading tomorrow.
That's why I follow local planning, transportation, housing, infrastructure, and development news.
Because sometimes the most valuable real estate insight isn't hidden inside a listing.
It's hidden inside a city announcement.
👀 Smart buyers don't just buy a home.
They buy into a neighbourhood.
