I love this little mason bee home. It is in keeping with the Quebec City architecture. I was privileged to join a group of mason bee lovers including a prof from U Vic, who did a cocoon count every fall. We would wash the cocoons in a light bleach to kill the mites, and put them in a special fridge that maintained them at exactly the right temperature, and then come spring, we would each collect our cocoons and start again. I loved it! I should have been a biologist!
