I'll never forget the first time I visited Sand Hills.

I had just started apprenticing under my Dad, and he brought me to a client of his who lived on this beach.. The house was beautiful, the clients were classy, and CΓ©line Dion's "The Power of Love" was softly playing in the background.. it was a magical late 1990s moment, I tell you.

We went outside to the deck, and my eyes widened as I first laid eyes on that pristine..white..sand beach.

You may notice we don't always post our SOLDs because well.. I think it gets lost when all of the other realtors and brokerages post the same.. thing.. all the time.

Feeling very grateful to have been interviewed by The Welland Tribune regarding the current waterfront and cottage market along Lake Erie.

There’s no denying this has been one of the tougher markets I’ve seen in years for waterfront, rural and recreational properties. Buyers are more cautious, carrying costs have climbed dramatically, and many families are finding it harder to justify a second property. But it’s important to remember - it’s not all doom and gloom. Beautiful, well-priced properties are absolutely still selling, and there are still incredible opportunities out there for both buyers and sellers.

One thing I truly do miss is the strong American presence along our beaches and shoreline communities. For generations, many American families have called places like Wainfleet, Fort Erie and Port Colborne their summer homes. They were fantastic owners, wonderful supporters of our local businesses, and a huge part of the fun, vibrant beach culture that made our south coast so special.

I’m proud to continue representing these communities and helping people navigate a changing market with honesty and optimism. Thank you again to The Tribune for taking the time to speak with me and highlight some of the unique challenges - and opportunities - facing Niagara’s waterfront market right now. ❀️
