Rainy day plans? I have one for you!

Since it’s raining today, why not make a quick trip to Staples and pick up a few school supplies for Sweet Lou’s Night this Tuesday? They have some fantastic back-to-school deals right now, and every notebook, pack of crayons, backpack, or pencil case helps a local child start the school year with confidence.

I honestly can’t wait to see what everyone brings. Every single year I’m blown away by your generosity, and it’s one of my favourite parts of the evening. ❤️

Of course… there are also the HUGE ice cream sandwiches waiting for you! 🍪🍦 Fresh cookies, your choice of ice cream, great company, and the chance to help families in our community? That’s a pretty perfect Tuesday if you ask me.

🍦 SWEET LOU’S NIGHT IS LESS THAN 2 WEEKS AWAY! 🍦

If you’ve been watching your mailbox, there’s a good chance your tickets have already arrived! 📬 If you haven’t checked the mail yet… this is your sign! 😉

Once you’ve found your tickets, send me a quick message to let me know you’re coming so we can make sure we have enough of those GIANT, fresh-baked cookie ice cream sandwiches waiting for everyone! Trust me… you don’t want us to underestimate this crowd. 😄🍪🍦

This year we’re also collecting new backpacks and school supplies for local children in need. ❤️ I have to admit, this is one of my favourite parts of the event. There is something so much fun about wandering the aisles at Staples, picking out colourful notebooks, pencils, markers, and all the cute school supplies. Even better is seeing how incredibly generous all of you are every single year.

Together, we get to enjoy some amazing ice cream, catch up with great people, and help local kids head back to school with the supplies they need. That’s a pretty fantastic evening if you ask me.

One of my favourite things about Catcher Cruise is that a joke can live on for YEARS… and somehow it just keeps getting funnier with every new group that comes along.

It all started with what became known as a “waist deep swim.” We all knew that was just code for sneaking out into the ocean for a little… p*e break.

Then, it turned into someone asking…

💬 “Am I deep enough for my waist deep swim?!”

Without fail, someone else would yell back…

💬 “NOPE!”

The best part? Every new group picks it up almost immediately, and before long they’re the ones laughing and shouting it across the beach. It’s become one of those ridiculous Catcher Cruise traditions that never gets old. This photo caught a perfect moment of not anywhere near deep enough! Thank you to Kelly Bailey Communications | SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER for always capturing the funny moments on Catcher Cruise and for making the content that has me in stitches!

The beaches are beautiful, the food is fantastic, and the memories? Well… sometimes they’re built around the silliest inside jokes.

Giving the perfect gift means a lot to me. I love finding something that’s thoughtful, personal, and tells a story. Those are the gifts people keep for years.

I recently had a very special one made by WhitesWoodWorkingShop . Years ago, a fantastic friend of mine bought my aunt’s cottage—a place filled with so many wonderful childhood memories for our family. They’ve recently completed an incredible transformation of the cottage, and I wanted to celebrate all the love and work they’ve poured into it.

The result? A stunning custom cutting board featuring an inlay of their lake along with the exact coordinates of the cottage. 🏡🪵

It honestly couldn’t have been more perfect. The craftsmanship is beautiful, the quality is amazing, and it’s one of those gifts that instantly becomes a keepsake.

In just 5 months, we’ll be setting sail on the Catcher Cruise! 🚢

While everyone else is digging out their winter coats, we’ll be trading snow boots for flip-flops, soaking up the sunshine, relaxing on some of the most beautiful beaches in the Bahamas, and making memories with an incredible group of clients.

And if you’ve been on one of our cruises before, you already know one thing is guaranteed… there will be dancing! Whether it’s in the nightclub, on the Lido deck, or at one of the themed parties, somehow we always end up dancing and laughing until our cheeks hurt.

It’s one of my favourite weeks of the year, and I can’t wait to do it all again!

If you’ve been invited but haven’t reserved your spot yet, now’s the time! January has a funny way of sneaking up on us… and trust me, having a warm beach vacation to look forward to makes those cold winter days so much easier.

Every summer, we love getting together for one of our favourite client appreciation events—a family-friendly evening at Sweet Lou’s enjoying what I truly believe are the best ice cream sandwiches in the world!
If you’ve never had one before, you’re in for a treat. They’re made with fresh-baked cookies, stuffed with generous scoops of ice cream, and there are so many delicious flavours to choose from. (Fair warning... choosing just one is the hardest part!)
