What's in your drinking water?

The Nova Scotia Health Authority recommends testing well water every 6 months for bacteria and every 2 years for minerals.

I'll be in the Cheticamp area this Sunday, November 9. If you'd like your well water tested - message me for details and pricing.

Now offering SEWER SCOPE INSPECTIONS

When in doubt, scope it out!

A sewer scope inspection can reveal whether a home’s sewer lines are in proper working order. By using a specialized sewer scope camera, I can take a close look at the pipeline that leads from the home to the city’s/town's water system or septic tank. Routine sewer scope inspections can reveal blockages and pipe system damage that can be costly to repair if left unaddressed. Early detection of sewer issues can help save homeowners hundreds, or even thousands of dollars before further damage takes place.

Sewer Scope Inspections

A sewer scope Inspection is a video inspection of the lateral sewer line from the house at/near the foundation to the city / main tap or septic tank.
The purpose of a sewer scope is to discover and report defects that were visible in the lateral sewer line; the scope will typically also identify the material used as the lateral sewer line.

This Sewer Scope Inspection can be added to your Home Inspection or as a stand alone service.

Ever wonder what a home inspection entails?

A certified home inspector visually examines the safety and functionality of the major systems (plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling) and checks the roof, foundation, interior and exterior of the home.

The goal is to assess the current condition of the home, not to pass or fail it.

Reach out if you or someone you know has any questions about the process.

Why get a home inspection?

Having an inspection done before purchasing a home provides a large measure of protection from unpleasant surprises by providing you with a clear understanding of the house you are considering purchasing. By identifying both positive features and deficiencies, as well as suggesting necessary repairs, a pre-purchase inspection allows you to make a more informed decision for peace of mind and confidence in your investment.

Also, having a home inspection prior to putting your home on the market can give you a competitive edge! By better understanding the current condition of you home, you have the opportunity to correct deficiencies before listing the property. Part of the inspection process includes helping you decide which deficiencies, if any, should be corrected prior to listing. Simply put, a pre-sale inspection eliminates “surprises”, which simplifies the negotiation process and can expedite the sale of your home.
