A few months back we visited this house for a tour to see if it was our next project. We ended up purchasing it and Jeremy Parker Property Answers crews fully renovating it over the course of a few months. It is now a four bedroom 2 bath home and rented to a wonderful family for less than market rent. Solving the housing crisis is possible - we will keep going with more projects in 2027. Here’s some before and after pictures. Everyone deserves an affordable place to call home. 🏡

We don’t post much now but we are still working hard behind the scenes creating more rental housing. 🏡 Stay tuned for updates in the next few months.

We had hoped to have an open house today for the Steeple installation outdoors but our JPPA crews are so booked up we have had to delay that. Stay tuned for that in 2027!

Yesterday Kempt United Baptist Church held their 1st Service back at Musgrave Road. It was a lovely Service led by Charlene and Brent. Worship is held every Sunday at 1030 am.

Memories 💕

I wanted to follow up that the stain glass window is now installed in the community room where Church Services soon can be held again. In the spring/summer we will be doing an installation with the steeple.

We cannot thank Jane Sponagle and CBC NS enough for taking an interest in our project. This project truly was a labour of love and we had a village supporting us. In 2024 after our land by use change was accepted I started writing financing proposals and making calls. Working with the Federal Government and the Provincial Government with financing supports we were able to make 5 deeply affordable apartments available during the housing crisis.

For anyone interested in our journey in hopes of doing a similar project we are always happy to have a chat. You do need to provide 20% of your own equity and yes we have a mortgage on this property. It has been a month since tenants moved in - please watch to see what a difference it has made in Debbie and Merlin's life. A place for them to call home in the community they want to live in.

We are on the search for another piece of land to make another project like this happen - please contact us!
