What's wrong with this picture?
The pic was copied from a local short term rental advertisement.
What do young children love to do? they love to climb..
I would have no problem for safety reasons in putting this in my report if I saw it during an inspection.
Spindles to railings should always be vertical not horizontal as in this picture.
Horizontal railings like this create a climbing hazard which the youngest child would see as an adventure and want to climb it then possibly fall over the top.
It may have the modern look but not advisable.
