KAYAK - A MEDAL FROM THE 2010 OLYMPICS!

In today’s spotlight, we will be visiting the beautiful Kayak - located at 77 Walter Hardwick Avenue. However, it also counts with two more addresses on 1633 Ontario Street and 12 Athletes Way.

Kayak was built by Millennium Development as part of the original Olympic Village, where the Olympic athletes were to stay during the Winter Olympic Games of 2010 hosted by Vancouver. After the event, the development was already thought to serve as a residential building.

Full of luxury and amenities built for the comfort of Olympic athletes and officials, Kayak and its sister buildings are definitely some of the most exclusive residential buildings in all of Metro Vancouver. Carefully planned to be part of a green community and family-oriented neighbourhood, Kayak has something to offer for everyone.

For those concerned about the lack of residential options that are environmentally friendly, Kayak will calm all the worries you may have. This residential area is highlighted as one of Vancouver’s most energy-efficient and green-friendly sites. Each of the buildings in the original Village, including Kayak, have received a Gold LEED certification due to their 50% reduction of water consumption by their harvest and re-using of rainwater, along with 50% of the buildings having green roofs.

A LEED Certification is given to constructions that are equipped with characteristics that assure it's a self-sustaining construction that generates and uses renewable green energy and promotes a higher life quality that adheres to an environmentally-conscious lifestyle.

Of course, we haven't fully talked about all the opportunities Kayak gives the residents, let's leave aside the fantastic views of the False Creek and Science World, all the amazing boat events that occur in this waterfront, the convenience of living right next to all the stores and services you can possibly ask for and how easy it is to navigate the streets of the Olympic Village. Kayak offers a fantastic lounge and exclusive access to its residents to the Gold Medal Club, a spectacular clubhouse that includes:

Indoor Pool
Hot Tub
Sauna
Steam Room
Change Rooms
Fitness Centre
Co-op Car Sharing
Hybrid Car Sharing Facility.

Currently, Kayak has 2 Listings for sale
# 510 - 1633 Ontario Street (Listed by RE/MAX Select Properties)

This deluxe 2-building condominium was developed by Millennium and it has a prime waterfront location on 181 Athletes Way and 151 Athletes way. If we do a quick comparison between all the constructions on the original Olympic Village, Canada House is possibly the most luxurious one.

Just as all of its other sister buildings, Canada House was originally built as part of the Olympic Village development, to house the athletes that participated in the Olympic Winter Games of 2010, and after the games were over they became residential spaces.

Canada House was designed by the late and renowned Canadian architect Arthur Erickson. The Village contribution was one of Erikson's last works, as he passed before seeing it finished.

The exclusivity of living in one of Vancouver's most beautiful waterfront buildings is not the only fantastic characteristic Canada House can offer. Just as its sister buildings, Canada House offers a vast number of amenities: easy access to Skytrain and Bus stations, fantastic streets for biking, a community full of events - and an exclusive clubhouse called "Gold Medal Club". In this building, residents have access to:

- Indoor Pool
- Hot Tub
- Sauna
- Steam Room
- Change Rooms
- Fitness Centre
- Co-op Car Sharing
- Hybrid Car Sharing Facility

As of November 2017, Canada House has 1 listing: 101 - 181 Athletes Way (Listed by RE/MAX Crest Realty Westside). Those luxury condos in Canada House are very rare to come by, and they fly fast!
