Trinidad on the south central part of the Island of Cuba had such a great music scene with awesome Cuban bands and very unique yet reasonable venues, both outdoor and an intricate cave setting. Nice to get to the beach during the day and also exploring the underwater world too.

We had lunch at a local indigenous Amazon community where they served these live larvae....our local guide had them live and raw but I only had them BBQ...lol

Back in Quito capital of Ecuador and the second highest city in the world at over 12k ft in elevation...a very picturesque city staying in the historical downtown with many rich cultural attractions. Also has afew interesting viewpoints like mountain top gondola and nearby center of the earth (equator) attractions.

This garden recreated by designer Yves St Laurent in Mareshesh is definitely a worthwhile oasis amongst the hustle & bustle over the usual sights of this city. He brought many unique cactus and other plants from all over the world where he traveled.
