This season reminded me just how precious it is to slow down, be present, and soak in time with the people I love. Christmas and New Year felt especially meaningful this year, full of laughter, gratitude and connection.

Reflecting on it all, I’ve been filled with so much gratitude. There have been many Christmases where, for various reasons, I’ve quietly wished for the season to be over. Because of that, I came into this year with a deep awareness of just how special this one was, and I truly didn’t take a single moment for granted.

With Christmas just two days away (how does time move this fast?), I’ve been reflecting on how special it is to be part of something that genuinely brings joy, hope, and connection to our community during the holiday season. Each year, I’m incredibly proud to support the Dundarave Festival of Lights: Forest of Miracles—a truly magical initiative that transforms Dundarave Beach with over 100 beautifully decorated trees, all sponsored by local families, businesses, and organizations.

Beyond the beauty and sparkle, this festival gives back in a deeply meaningful way. Proceeds support the Lookout Housing + Health Society, an organization doing vital, year-round work to provide housing and essential support services to those who need it most. Knowing that this small act of sponsorship helps contribute to such impactful work is a powerful reminder of what this season is really about.

The Forest of Miracles is more than lights and trees—it’s a celebration of community, generosity, and the true spirit of Christmas. Thank you to everyone who came out to soak it all in, sip hot chocolate, enjoy the music, and share in the magic.
