📍 Just Sold!

We’re excited to share that EM Real Estate has completed the sale of the Foodland property in Springdale, NL!

Originally acquired in February 2015, this property has been part of our portfolio for over a decade—a reflection of our long-term strategy and commitment to creating real, lasting value in the communities we invest in.

We’re pleased to welcome the new landlords and wish them continued success with this great property.

📣Meet Joanne Marcone our Investor Relations Associate.

Joanne Marcone graduated with Honors and Distinction from Collège LaSalle in 1977 with a DEC in Office Systems Technology. Her academic excellence led her to be awarded the Myrette Lapierre for being the top performing student in the program. She subsequently obtained a Professional Development Certificate at McGill University in 1986 to pursue her passion of teaching after acquiring significant office experience in the private sector. Joanne taught at O’Sullivan College of Montreal until 1999, at which point she joined Econo-Malls. Through her 24 years of service, Joanne has acquired extensive real estate knowledge in leasing, operations, and brokerage. In 2013, her professionalism and dedication led her into her current role of Investor Relations Associate.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Joanne, who is retiring after 24 years of dedicated service with Econo-Malls. Over the years, Joanne excelled and performed with profound compassion and enthusiasm towards the Investors as well as her colleagues. She has been an invaluable asset to our team and a trusted colleague. She has been a source of support, guidance, and knowledge to all of us, and Joanne has always gone above and beyond to ensure success. We are grateful for her hard work and commitment and wish her all the best in her retirement. From the bottom of our hearts - thank you, Joanne, for everything you have done, and you will be truly missed!

📣Meet Grant Whitham our Accounting Technician.

Grant Whitham graduated with distinction from Dawson College’s Accounting Principles program in 2008. Most recently in 2022, Grant attained his Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting and Finance from McGill University. With over 15 years of experience in the accounting field, he assists the accounts payable and the accounts receivable departments with invoicing, re-billings, and other various tasks. He joined the Econo-Malls team in January 2023.

Sabrina Amado graduated from Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business in 2020 with a Double Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in marketing and management. In addition to her formal business education, Sabrina is a mural artist and digital illustrator. Sabrina joined the Econo-Malls team in November 2022, where she merges her business and art passion to create marketing and communication materials for Econo-Malls Management Corporation. Driven by creativity, Sabrina always finds solutions and alternate plans for any business.

📣Meet Lelia Bruce our Payroll and Benefits Administrator.

Lelia Bruce has worked in Payroll and Accounting for over 20 years. Her wealth of working experiences includes time spent at a major bank and in the family business overseeing the Payroll and Benefits duties. Lelia credits her success to hard work, dedication to both herself and her profession and the grace of a few good people guiding her along the way. She joined the Econo-Malls team in March 2022.
