Jay Walker is an accomplished residential real estate agent, ready to guide you through the home-selling, home-buying, or home-flipping process. Jay is a familiar name in Montreal—you might’ve seen him on TV or heard his voice on the radio as he has previously worked in entertainment and media.
But Jay always dreamed about working in real estate, so he finally made it a reality after attending and graduating from the Collège de l’immobilier du Québec. Jay embarked upon his new professional venture several years ago and is ready to serve his clients in both English and French.
For this Montreal native, the transition into real estate was seamless as so much of his career was built upon championing homegrown artists and businesses. Only now, his workload consists of community-building of another kind. Despite the traffic cones, Jay loves this vibrant and artist city and his background is proof. He is the music enthusiast who created “Montreal Rocks,” a popular weekly radio show broadcast on CHOM 97.7 that he also hosted. The show’s premise was simple: shine the spotlight on the city’s local and emerging talents and let their music be heard. He took a similar approach as an entertainment contributor for Global Montreal Mornings, a top-rated morning show, where he again turned the lens on community initiatives, covering a variety of cross- island cultural events. As host of “Resto Mundo,” a French-language program that aired on Zeste TV, he interviewed first-generation immigrants about their businesses and experiences, sharing stories over meals and celebrating what makes this city diverse.
Beyond his professional endeavours, he is a longstanding ambassador for the Montreal Shriners Hospital for Children and volunteers with The KANPE foundation, a non-profit organization helping vulnerable families in Haiti, founded by members of internationally-acclaimed Montreal band Arcade Fire.
