Important update for B.C. homeowners: changes to the Property Tax Deferment Program take effect starting with the 2026 tax year.

For taxes deferred in 2026 and future years, interest will now be charged at Prime + 2% and compounded monthly. Deferred balances from 2025 and earlier are not affected by the new compound interest rules.

If you currently defer your property taxes, or are considering it, review the updated terms through the Province of B.C. and speak with a qualified financial advisor if you’re unsure what’s best for your situation.

The Whistler Children’s Festival is back from May 15–17, bringing three days of creativity, imagination, and family-friendly fun to the village.

Now in its 43rd year, this beloved local festival features live performances, hands-on workshops, roving entertainment, magic shows, science activities, crafts, face painting, kids’ karaoke, and plenty of free activities throughout the weekend.

📅 When: May 15–17
🎭 What to expect: 8 live performances, 13 creative workshops, and free entertainment for the whole family
