Whistler 2020 Development Corporation is proud to be the general contractor for this next Whistler Housing Authority - WHA project located at 1475 Mount Fee Rd in Cheakamus Crossing. Construction is underway and is expected to be completed for handover in 2026.

Exciting news! This week Premier David Eby and Minister of Housing Ravi Kahlon announced in Whistler a major investment of a $12.7 million grant and more than $27 million in low-interest financing for WHA's next new rental housing project for Whistler employees.

Whistler is leading the way as the first project to break ground under the provincial government’s BC Builds program. This project is made possible by the joint contributions of the Government of British Columbia , the Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) and the WHA.

Construction of 104 new homes has already begun. When combined with the nearly finished WHA building across the street, ‘The Hemlocks’, these two projects will provide 360 more workforce beds. This increases Whistler’s total number of beds reserved for employees to over 7,700.

The Board and Staff of Whistler 2020 Development Corporation would like to congratulate the Whistler Valley Housing Society on the completion of The Nest at 1400 Mount Fee Road. The Nest includes 30 one and two-bedroom rental units. Tenants began moving in at the beginning of July.

Whistler 2020 Development Corporation is pleased to have delivered this project to the Whistler Valley Housing Society on time and on budget. Absolutely thrilled to hand the keys to 1400 Mount Fee Road over to the Whistler Valley Housing Society (WVHS) yesterday afternoon. The Nest includes 30 one and two-bedroom rental units and move-in began today! All tenants qualified as Whistler employees and applications came from social service agencies, essential service workers, and the Whistler Housing Authority - WHA waitlist. Congratulations to all and welcome to Cheakamus! WVHS Board and its valuable project partners will commemorate The Nest’s official opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony on site July 5, 2024 from 11am-12pm.

We are pleased to announce that our Lot 5 project consisting of two buildings with a shared parkade, made up of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units all restricted to rentals was recently approved by Council. Construction could start as early as Spring 2024 with framing in 2025, and occupancy projected for late 2026.

The next build in Cheakamus Crossing Phase 2 is expected to add 104 rental units to the Whistler market
