Whistler’s Q2 real estate market tells an interesting story 📊

While year-over-year sales have remained relatively steady, one of the biggest factors shaping the market continues to be inventory. At the end of Q2 2026, there were 265 active listings, down 7% from the 284 properties available at the same time last year. Although average monthly inventory has hovered around 330 listings, buyers are still competing for a limited selection of homes that truly fit their needs.

For sellers, this means well-presented properties continue to attract strong attention.

For buyers, patience and preparation remain key, as the right opportunity can move quickly when it hits the market.

Dinner tastes a little different when it’s served at 1,800 metres (6,000 feet) above sea level 🏔️

One of my favourite summer experiences in Whistler is the Mountain Top Summer Feast at the Roundhouse Lodge. Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening through September 6, you can ride the gondola into the alpine and enjoy a West Coast-inspired feast, live music, and panoramic mountain views as the sun begins to set. It’s the kind of evening that reminds you why life in Whistler is so special 👌🏽

My local tips:
▪️make the day out of it by hiking the alpine first ▪️use your pass to receive a 20% discount on the feast only

The tale of a successful Whistler property upgrade…

My clients were finding their two-bedroom townhome a bit small when their whole family wanted to visit. We first connected several months ago, with a plan to upgrade, but the timing was tricky as there were three other units for sale in their complex. Luckily, they had partnered with the best vacation rental company in Whistler ZenAway Vacation Rentals and their townhome looked phenomenal after a fairly major overhaul. Even though we were off-market, Nick Swinburne Nick Swinburne Personal Real Estate Corporation did a great job lining up a buyer which allowed us to immediately lock up a stunning three-bedroom townhome at Forest Creek in the Blackcomb Benchlands. A couple weeks of due diligence later, and everyone was comfortable moving forward with their new Whistler homes 👏🏽
