Our REAW "presentation season" has started. Here is director, Sam Surowy, on the right, presenting three scholarships at WSS - left to right are Sophia Cross, Kayna Frame, and Emilie Desbiens. Each of the students received $2000. We usually only present two WSS scholarships, but when we didn't receive an application from the Waldorf School, we decided to give a scholarship to Kayna Frame who did all her schooling at Waldorf until grade 12. Congratulations to these fine students and best of luck for a bright future!

The Real Estate Association of Whistler recently surpassed $200,000 in community grants, special grants, and scholarships given since 2016, eight years in which we have focused on ensuring that our communities know that our members care about the welfare of the people that they serve. We are proud of this money which is entirely donated by individual members of REAW. Here are a few photos taken recently.

In the photos are REAW Vice-President Sherry Baker presenting to Jackie Dickinson, Dave Clark, and Cara Burrow of the WCSS, REAW President Ray Longmuir presenting a scholarship to Taylor Legge, and Director Sam Surowy presenting scholarships to Whistler Secondary School students, Lauren Hamm and Embyr-Lee Susko.

Their goal is to present workshops for females entrepreneurs in the Sea to Sky, workshops designed to be “for us, by us” for women and to share knowledge, resources, skills, and network and build community. The funding will contribute to the costs of these events, helping to pay for venue rental and/or chair rentals and audio rentals for better audience experiences.
