The Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) is asking for community feedback on proposed amendments to the Official Community Plan (OCP) that would support employee housing and community development.

Add your voice to Whistler’s 2026 Official Community Plan (OCP) amendment project.

We are considering updates to Whistler’s OCP to help address the community’s ongoing shortage of employee housing.

We want to hear your thoughts on the proposed amendments that will support new employee housing initiatives, facilitate the implementation of the Whistler Creek West Neighbourhood Plan, and enable potential employee housing on three municipal land parcels in Cheakamus Crossing.

This is a plan for our community. Many steps occur between this plan and future development.

Add your voice to the discussion through an online survey. Your feedback will be considered as part of Council’s decision-making process.

A larger reassessment of our OCP, including the vision and values we want for our community, will be initiated in the next two years.

We're excited to welcome the first batch of new tenants to their homes at Sitka & Cedar.

Looking for housing — for yourself or someone you know? There are still two- and three-bedroom units available at Sitka & Cedar in Cheakamus Crossing, with move-in scheduled for August 1, 2026.

These homes are designed for families and groups of qualified roommates. We are signing tenancy agreements for new waitlist applicants for these units. Act now to get a chance at one of the remaining units. Rental rates begin at $2,455/month for two-bedroom units and are based on 30% of gross household income. To estimate what your household would pay, use the WHA's Rental Rate Calculator.

Rental Waitlist Program requirements apply:
✅ Work 30+ hrs/week for a Qualified Whistler Business
✅ Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
