Celebrating our amazing volunteers at Tekoa Manor and Providence Place with a volunteer luncheon.

Our residents give so much of their time to help make our home brighter, and this yearly Volunteer Luncheon is our way of saying thank you. ❤️

Our staff prepared and served a wonderful roast beef dinner, creating a warm afternoon of connection and gratitude. We are grateful for every helping hand that makes our community feel like family. 🏠

A beautiful day for our Glen Hill Strathaven residents to have a day out at Absolute Equestrian Centre in Bowmanville. 🐎

Our residents loved visiting the horse barn, meeting the ponies, and enjoying the peaceful farm atmosphere. They even got to plant their own flower seeds to take home! 🌺

A huge thank you to the wonderful staff and the Absolute Equestrian team for creating such a joyful day on the farm.

What a beautiful day for our Glen Hill Terrace residents to enjoy their Walk for Memories! 🚶

They took a sunny stroll around our neighbourhood. This was a great way for our residents to get out, have fun and make memories.

Glen Hill Strathaven recently hosted a wonderful BBQ lunch for our residents! 🌭

While the weather had other plans and brought the celebration indoors, it didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. Residents enjoyed a delicious BBQ meal and the opportunity to gather together, share conversations, and create new memories. ❤️

Great food, great company, and a wonderful sense of community made for a fantastic afternoon!

Our independent facilities group Till We Meet Again has had their end of season get together before they take a break for the summer. 🌞

Thirteen of our residents came together to chat, laugh and play games. A highlight of the day was a guessing game to try and match each member to their relative. This sparked a bunch of smiles and stories about loved ones. ❤️

The Lakeshore New Horizons Band came to play for our residents in Tekoa Manor, Providence Place and Glen Hill Terrace.

This was a wonderful opportunity for our residents to sit, listen and enjoy the instrumental music.🎼They played songs, like Somewhere Over The Rainbow, bringing joy and cheer to our community. 🌈

Students and Residents Interview! 🖊

Our independent living residents had a wonderful visit from the fourth graders of Immanuel Christian School. The students gained new skills as they interviewed our residents and shared stories. 📖

The day wrapped up with laughter and games, showing how connected our community is.

Take a Spin in the Spring 🚴

For a second year in a row, we have brought out our push bike for our Glen Hill Terrace residents. The push bike has been a great addition for our residents, having them enjoy a nice ride on such a beautiful day with the warm spring breeze.

Moments like these fill our days with joy, connection and excitement. Our residents enjoyed getting a relaxing ride up and down our neighbourhood streets in this beautiful weather! 🌞

We look forward to pulling the bike out for more rides in the future and upcoming years!

🌸 Mother’s Day at Durham Christian Homes 🌸

Today we celebrated the wonderful mothers in our Independent Living Towers with joy, laughter, and sweet treats! 💕

Our talented Chef Diana delighted everyone with her beautiful, handcrafted cupcakes, and our residents gathered in the auditorium to enjoy fellowship, smiles, and heartfelt moments together.

Because truly, Mothers are the best! 💐
