1) Cleaning and De-Cluttering
Remove all personal items, wash and clean all areas inside and outside of the house, remove clutter from furniture and counters, freshen air
2) Painting
Remove dated wallpaper and give the interior a fresh coat throughout. You may like that bold red accent wall, but in order to appeal to highest number of potential buyers as possible, keep those colours neutral. Whites, greys, or maaaaybe a soft beige.
3) Lighten and Brighten
Natural light is associated with the appearance of more open space and helps to create a more comfortable and aesthetically pleasing home.
Enhance this feature with these few subtle tricks.
4) Update Light Switches/Electrical
Old light switches and outlet covers are a detail a lot of people overlook when getting ready to put their homes on the market. This is a very cheap and easy detail to get right. Oh, and make sure all the screws on the plates align vertically (unlike the photos used ๐)
5) W**ding and Pruning
Adding curb appeal provides a wonderful first impression, setting up potential buyers to feel good as they walk through your home. Add mulch, mow the lawn, remove branches and debris, plant shrubs and flowers, and w**d W**d W**D!
