Home Sales Up Year Over Year Increase of 17.9%

Selling prices edged up Month over Month

Selling prices were very similar to February 2023 $1,096,157 (2023) and $1,108,720 (2024). Increase of 1.1%
We are seeing buyers finally re-enter the market in the Durham Region, which is a clear indicator as it relates to the multiple offers we have been seeing.

Population growth is at a record pace in Canada.
Durham, Northumberland, and surrounding areas will see a lot of this immigration growth hitting our markets.

The buyers are becoming more open to other types of properties to adjust for the higher borrowing costs, you will likely see buyers transition their wants and needs from a detached double-car garage home to a detached single-car or semi to assist in reducing costs.

We are almost at 10,000 transactions for the first 2 months of 2024, in 2023 we were at 7800 at the same time
