The following materials can be picked up first come, first served tomorrow, August 25, from 2 to 4pm at 84 Rampart Avenue in Whistle Bend. Please report to the site supervisor trailer.

A shout out to our volunteers.

As our new buyers close on phase 1 homes this week we wanted to reflect on the time and energy our volunteers have spent on this project.

It is no easy feat building housing as a non-profit organization. NCLTS has just one part time staff. But we also have a small but dedicated group of community members who have collectively put thousands of hours into project 1096 over the past 6 years.

If it wasn't for the vision and dedication of these passionate community members, these 32 units of housing wouldn't have happened. They have put aside so much of their personal time into building housing for others, and it is truly commendable.

If you are a buyer, or someone who has watched this project come to fruition, please give the volunteers a thank you.

Today is a huge day! After five years in the making, the first owners of project 1096 took possession of their finished homes. This is a big moment for permanently affordable ownership housing in the territory, and we are extremely proud of all the hard work that went into the project to get it this far. Congrats to all our new homeowners and everyone who helped along the way!

Notice of Change of General Contractor

The Northern Community Land Trust Society has terminated our previous general contractor, Blackrock, and engaged Ketza Construction to complete Project 1096.

If you are a subcontractor or supplier to Blackrock and have not been paid for work you have done, please reach out to us by March 31, 2026 at [email protected].

Ketza has mobilized to site, and we look forward to continuing with progress on our 32 new affordable homes. Stay tuned for more photos and progress updates!

Believe us that managing an affordable housing project to deliver on limited funding and fixed budgets is not easy. Managing tight cash flows requires difficult decisions.

This week we are very excited to restart construction on our second building. Actually 2 buildings in one, this starts with completion of the code-required firewall between them before pre-fabricated walls and floor assemblies follow.
