CARETAKER WANTED – YUKON RIVER FARM B&B
We’re looking for one person to join us as an on-site caretaker at our B&B. A couple would also be welcome.
This is an independent contractor position, rather than a traditional employee position, and we’re ideally looking for someone who can commit to six months or longer.
The schedule & flexibility
You can choose your days off and arrange your schedule around other work, contracts or commitments.
- Cleaning and guest turnover generally takes place between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
- Most cleaning is needed Sundays and Mondays, and these are essential days. Guests can check out as late as 11:00 a.m.
- There are regular guest check-in questions or requests around 5:00 p.m.
- Ongoing property-maintenance tasks — including gardening, painting and snow removal — can generally be completed at your convenience.
- Number of hours per week is negotiable.
- Wage is dependent on experience and commitment.
🔨 We’re looking for someone who:
- Is meticulous and takes pride in cleaning
- Is reliable, organized and comfortable working independently
- Can light and tend a wood stove
- Is comfortable with snow removal
- Has their own vehicle
- Is comfortable being based on the property
- Dogs cannot be brought with you to work
This position could be a great fit for someone who wants a flexible work arrangement and the ability to take on other employment or contracts while being part of a small B&B operation.
