Proud to support our local baseball community and Owen Sound Minor Baseball! ⚾
I’m excited to announce that I am sponsoring advanced umpire training for four local umpires. In every sport, well-trained officials are such an important part of the game, they help keep play fair, safe, and enjoyable for everyone involved. The Jr. Baysox are looking for four umpires that want to take this accelerated program (equivalent to five years of experience) at no cost to them. Great umpires make a big difference in the game, and I love supporting opportunities that help people grow their skills and confidence on the field, rink, and pitch.
Experience, preparation, and confidence matter. Whether it’s baseball or real estate, you want someone who can make the right call. ⚾🏡
Best of luck to the umpires taking part in this training, and here’s to a great season ahead!
⚾ OSMB Needs Adult Umpires in 2026 ⚾
Owen Sound Minor Baseball is in need of new adult aged umpires for the 2026 season and with the help of the OBA, getting fully trained and ready for season 1 is easier than ever. The OBA is once again running their Accelerated Umpire Clinic program. Through this program anyone 18 years or older can get 5 years of training in one year. This program involves 12 hours of live online learning with Baseball Ontario Senior and Master Conductors followed by a full day in-person, on field camp. At the conclusion of training you will be a Level 2.3 umpire. The online sessions begin on February 22.
Loretta Emonts- Re/Max Grey Bruce Realty Inc., a platinum level sponsor, is supporting OSMB with our recruitment of getting fully trained umpires who are 18 years or older. The cost of this program is $225 however Loretta has agreed to sponsor up to 4 individuals aged 18 or older to register for this program and cover the registration cost. OSMB wishes to give a big thank you to Loretta Emonts for her support.
