Running it Back: Day 2 - Donna’s Deli

Episode two of the series. Same routine, lace up, run through Riverside, end up in one of my favourite spots. This time it’s Donna’s Deli.

Their assorted Italian on a garlic bun is what I always get. Fresh bread daily, good deli meats and cheeses, small counter, the friendliest people. It’s been in Riverside Plaza for years and it’s still one of the better spots in the neighbourhood for a quick sandwich or to stock up for the week.

Running it Back: Day 1 - Nick The Greek

Starting a new series. Every episode I lace up, run through Riverside, and end up somewhere worth talking about. First stop, and an easy one: Nick The Greek.

This is one of my regular spots. Chicken Greek salad, every time, no question. Twenty plus years in Riverside Plaza and it’s still one of the best lunches in the neighbourhood. Small dining room, takeout line gets long sometimes, and worth every minute of the wait.
