It’s Open!

The Municipality of the County of Kings is pleased to announce that the Harvest Moon Trail extension from Grand Pré Road to Wharf Road is now complete and the new section of trail is open to the public.

The new 2.14-km non-motorized, multiuse trail provides an additional active transportation and recreation connection within the popular Harvest Moon Trailway network spanning Kings and Annapolis counties.

Additional signage and amenities will be installed in the coming weeks. Trail users are asked to use caution when crews are working in the area.

Parking is available at 2242 Grand Pré Road in the Grand Pré National Historic Site overflow parking lot. Please do not park on Wharf Road.

If you’d like to check out the new trail with some company, adults ages 18-plus are invited to attend a free Summer Solstice Sunset Hike organized by the Municipality’s Recreation Services team. The five-kilometre hike will get underway at 8 p.m. June 21. Please register in advance at www.countyofkings.ca/registration
