For the last eight years, the Refuge has been one of the greatest privileges of our ministry. We have fed the hungry, mentored the broken, and prayed over our community’s homeless and drug addicted with a love that never wavered. Every meal served and every hand held was an act of worship, and we do not take for granted what God allowed us to build through this outreach.
After much prayer and consideration, we have made the decision to place the Refuge on an indefinite pause. This is not a closure and it is not a retreat from our calling to love the broken, but a season of stepping back to reassess and realign so that when we move forward again, we do so with strength and clarity. We believe that even seasons of pause are ordered by God, and we trust His timing over our own plans, just as Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us that there is a time for every activity under heaven.
We want to say thank you to this community from the depths of our hearts. Your support, your generosity, and your willingness to serve alongside us made the Refuge possible for eight years, and we are deeply grateful for every volunteer, every donor, and every person who believed in this work with us. Serving our community in this capacity has been one of the greatest honours of our ministry, and that has not changed even in this pause.
