Balaclava Crossing is moving on all fronts in St. Thomas!🛠️🏗️

The new building structure continues to climb with superstructure completion on track for mid-September, while inside, framing along with the mechanical and electrical rough-ins are now underway throughout. On the existing heritage building, old windows have been removed and prep work is in full swing to receive the new ones, spray-applied air barrier installation continues along the perimeter walls ahead of air tightness testing, and slate tile roofing repairs advance further leading towards a watertight building.

With site works also set to resume mid-September with an eye on wrapping up before frost, there's a lot happening on both sides of this project! Proud to be delivering this one alongside Indwell, Flourish, and Invizij Architects.🙌

What started as a full demolition of the existing office area is now a modern, high-end workspace that reflects the quality and innovation Soprema brings to everything they do. From high-end Class A office finishes and a dedicated product testing lab to a fully modernized exterior, this facility upgrade has been a great project to be a part of, for such a great partner! 🙌

What an exciting weekend on the water for Team Sierra! 🚣🐉☀️

On Saturday, we joined over 30 teams at the annual Woodstock Pharmasave Dragon Boat Festival at Pittock Conservation Area, racing alongside incredible crews from across the region! We're proud to say that our team paddled hard and took 1st place in the D Championship!

The day was filled with energy and community spirit, all in support of local causes through the Woodstock Rotary Club. A huge thank you to the organizers, our teammates, and everyone who came out to cheer us on! It was a day to remember!

Sierra Bridge is officially on site in Guelph for the first stage of the Speedvale Road Phase 2 reconstruction project, working alongside Leading Edge to cut and remove the existing superstructure.

Watching a structure come down is just as impressive as watching one go up, and this is just the beginning! And stay tuned, Sierra Infrastructure won't be far behind as this project really gets underway!🙌

Project Update! 🌉🏗️
It was all hands on deck last week in Cambridge for Sierra Bridge, with the entire team on-site bright and early for our deck pour at Blackbridge Road. It takes a special kind of dedication to show up before sunrise and give everything you've got, and the team delivered every step of the way!

A huge thank you as well to our friends at CBM and Pumpcrete for their help on this early morning start. It was a long day, but days like this are what bridge construction is all about!

With one floor installed, two & a roof to go, the new addition is taking shape at Balaclava Crossing in St. Thomas!🛠️

The cast in place elevator B shaft has been poured to roof level, second floor hollowcore installation is wrapping up, and delta beam and structural steel from ground floor to level 2 are now complete. Inside the existing heritage building, subfloor has been installed across all levels, masonry repairs are ongoing, and AVB installations are progressing on the exterior walls.

There's a lot happening on both sides of this project! A huge shoutout to Peikko North America and Stubbe's Precast for their work on this milestone, and to our project partners Indwell, Flourish, and Invizij Architects for helping bring this important development to life!🙌
