Sierra Construction, established in 1994, is an independently owned and managed general contracting firm providing Project and Construction Management, as well as integrated construction services in a variety of sectors through our design/build, heavy civil, and land development divisions for over 20 years. In 2017, the company subdivided into the following divisions, who all work together under the Sierra Construction Group umbrella: Sierra General Contracting, Sierra Bridge, Sierra Infrastructure, and Sierra Aggregates. Sierra has grown steadily, gaining recognition and experience through both site servicing and building construction for projects of all sizes in the Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional sectors. We thought we'd found them all, but Balaclava keeps giving!💙

As work progresses into the attic of the former Balaclava Public School in St. Thomas, our crews found even more signatures from past classes preserved on the bricks. Alongside our earlier discoveries from the stairwell, this build continues to remind us that it has always been about the people who called it home.

Project Update! 🛠️🚧
Phase 1 of our road reconstruction project Stirling Avenue in Kitchener is complete, and with students back in school, the timing couldn't have been better!

A big shoutout to Capital Paving for their help with laying the asphalt and finishing up the residential driveways to get the area back to normal for local residents. Phase 2 is on the horizon, so stay tuned for more updates! 🙌

Project Announcement!🛠️🏗️
Sierra Infrastructure is officially on the ground at our new Schiefele Road project in the Region of Waterloo! With high water volumes to manage, the team has been busy establishing dewatering operations, sediment and erosion controls, and a site causeway, while north and south slide rail installation gets underway ahead of pier footing prep.

This is just the beginning for this exciting new project, with Sierra Bridge set to join the scene soon. Stay tuned for more updates as this project gets underway!🙌

Project Update!🛠️🏗️
A significant milestone has been reached at Balaclava Crossing in St. Thomas! The superstructure of the new addition is complete, and the team is now pushing toward building envelope completion and weathertight status while work continues to advance on the existing heritage school.

A huge thanks to Otter Creek Welding, Stubbe's Precast, Middlesex Concrete Forming Ltd., Ridgeline Framing, and Peikko North America for their hard work in helping make this milestone possible. Every step forward brings us closer to 78 units of supportive housing for the St. Thomas community, and we couldn't be prouder to be delivering this build alongside Flourish, Indwell, and Invizij Architects!💙

It’s been a busy few weeks at our Blackbridge Road project in Cambridge! 🛠️🌉

Sierra Infrastructure crews are pushing through the final storm sewer installations and placing granular road base in preparation for surface restoration, while Sierra Bridge works on construction of the bridge parapet walls and expansion joints.

Two divisions, one goal, and a lot to look forward to as this project continues to take shape!🙌
