It's hard to imagine a time when Kuta Beach was not jammed to overflowing at sunset every single day. It seems that this will be with us for a while now. The empty beaches remind us of long-forgotten times when surfers ruled the waves and locals filled the beaches. ⁠

It feels like we've stepped back in time and if it weren't for the economic impacts, we'd be loving this time. For now we're reminded to enjoy today and let tomorrow take care of itself. It's a challenge but the natural beauty is a salve for the soul, and a time to slow down and count what really matters. ⁠
