As I stood before President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo receiving this prestigious award of the Order of the Volta (Member), I wore this attire not just as a symbol of my achievement, but as a tribute to the most selfless, resilient, and inspiring woman I have ever known - my beloved mother, Madam Beatrice.

Mom, your life was a testament to the human spirit's capacity for perseverance and determination. Despite the shame and hardships you faced, you never lost sight of your dreams for me. Your unwavering commitment to my success has brought me to this moment, and I'm forever grateful.

I remember the laughter, the tears, and the countless sacrifices you made for our family, for me in particular. Your love was pure, unconditional, and inspiring. Anytime I think of you, I am filled with laughter, joy and gratitude.

As I received this honor, I wish you were here to share in the celebration. But I know you are watching over me, smiling with pride. I love you, Mom, more than words can express.

All that you desired has indeed come to pass. Your legacy lives on through me, and I promise to continue making you proud.
