October in Mürren = crisp air, quiet trails, big views. 🍂

Lace up and walk from car-free Mürren down to tiny Gimmelwald. It’s an easy, scenic outing with the mountains in view the whole way. Come back to the warm wood of our chalet, built in 1865.

Planning a late-October escape? Car-free Mürren is still just a scenic ride away. 🚡 From 19–30 Oct the Stechelberg cable car takes its maintenance break and a shuttle bus runs instead. Our tip: take the renewed cable car from Lauterbrunnen to Grütschalp, then the little train along the cliff edge, with the Eiger, Mönch & Jungfrau beside you the whole way. Quiet trails, golden larches, and a crackling evening in our 1865 chalet.
