Introducing our next Chalet Oz team member!

Meet Melanie, Co-host and Cleaning Extraordinaire.

Melanie knows Chalet Oz inside out and has the sort of eye for order and detail that makes the rest of us look slightly inadequate 🤣

Originally from Germany and now very much a Vitznau local, she helps keep everything running smoothly and takes over when we’re away. She’s an absolute lifesaver and couldn’t run Chalet Oz without her.

Next up in the Chalet Oz team to meet is Philipp, Co-founder and Chief Fixer of all the things.

Every short term rental business needs someone who can look at a problem, disappear with a few tools and come back saying, “It’s fixed.”

That person is Philipp.

He helped build Chalet Oz and handles the maintenance, repairs, lawn mowing, and the occasional project that begins with Karen saying, “Can you just…?”

He is also the person most likely to ask whether we really need whatever new thing I have bought for the chalet. Usually we apparently did.

October in Vitznau definitely deserves more attention.

The leaves are turning stunning reds, oranges and yellows, the lake is still just as beautiful and Mt Rigi makes an easy day out when you stay here.

Chalet Oz sleeps up to four guests, with two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and just the right amount of space to come back to after a day out. And if your ideal end to the day involves a sauna and hot tub rather than another walk, private wellness can also be booked next door.

Hi there! I’m Karen, founder, host and Chief Everything Officer. I thought it was about time to introduce myself and the Chalet Oz team.

Chalet Oz started as a family project and has somehow become something I think about almost constantly.

I’m usually answering guest messages, researching something ai related, making another list or finding something else that would be “just right for the chalet”. There is always something.

Most decisions come back to the same question: will this make a guests stay easier, more comfortable or simply nicer?

Over the next few weeks, I’ll introduce the rest of the team behind Chalet Oz.
