We are delighted to welcome Ananda van der Merwe to the Realtor of Excellence Blouberg team.
Ananda joins Realtor of Excellence as a seasoned real estate professional with a rich background in both property and luxury tourism, bringing over two decades of people-focused experience to the industry. Her career has consistently centred around understanding people, building relationships, and delivering exceptional service.
With a foundation in psychology from the University of Pretoria and NQF4 qualifications in both Tourism and Real Estate, Ananda brings a unique combination of behavioural insight and industry expertise to her work. This background enables her to understand the motivations and decision-making processes of buyers and sellers, helping clients navigate property transactions with clarity and confidence.
Before entering the real estate industry, Ananda built an impressive career in journalism and professional photography, followed by several years in luxury tourism where she worked as a national tour specialist, tour director, and training officer. During this time, she directed luxury tours across Southern Africa for internationally renowned operators including Abercrombie & Kent, working with high-end international travellers and developing a deep understanding of service excellence and personalised client experiences.
Her transition into real estate saw her quickly establish herself as a capable and client-focused professional. Ananda built a strong track record of successful property transactions at Pam Golding Properties, before continuing her career with Wijnland Properties, where she handled both sales and rentals in the Blouberg area and progressed to Full Status Sales Agent level.
Her experience spans residential sales, property rentals, client relationship management, and property marketing, along with hands-on use of leading industry platforms including Propcon, PropControl, PropData, Follow-Up Boss, and DotLoop.
Ananda is widely recognised for her calm, analytical problem-solving approach and diplomatic conflict management skills, allowing her to guide clients through complex decisions with confidence and professionalism. Her ability to build strong long-term relationships with clients and prioritise their needs is central to her success in the property industry.
She is fluent in English and Afrikaans, with additional ability in Dutch (including Flemish) and French, allowing her to connect with a broad local and international client base.
Outside of property, Ananda has a strong passion for photography, digital marketing, history, and the arts. She holds a Digital Marketing Diploma from Google, and combines her creative eye with marketing expertise to ensure properties are presented in their best light across digital platforms and social media.
Her international experience, creative marketing ability, and client-focused professionalism make her an excellent addition to the Blouberg team.
