A sales-gallery model does more than show buildings. It connects the masterplan, landscape, amenities, arrival routes and surrounding media into one client-facing sequence.

In the approved public-portfolio photographs of the Poly Tianyi model, viewers can move from a complete development overview to closer readings of towers, podium elements and landscape. The curved pedestal, integrated lighting and adjacent screens extend the presentation without obscuring the physical model.

The useful question is not how much detail can be added, but which details help the audience understand the project. An architect-led model workflow establishes that hierarchy early, so the model supports discussion rather than becoming visual decoration.

The UIA World Congress of Architects 2026 placed circularity, reuse and transition among its central discussions. For project teams, those themes are difficult to advance when spatial relationships remain abstract.

A physical model can make the conversation more concrete. It can help teams point to building–ground relationships, shared spaces, access edges and landscape connections while comparing design intentions across disciplines. The approved public-portfolio images of the Poly Tianjun model show the kind of layered information that becomes easier to discuss when everyone is looking at the same physical reference.

This case is not presented as a circular-design claim. It demonstrates a communication method: use a model to clarify where questions should be asked before decisions are fixed.

The right model scale is not chosen from the drawing set alone. It depends on the room, the nearest and farthest viewing positions, the information that must remain legible, and the physical size available for transport and installation.

A larger scale can reveal façade, landscape and arrival details, but it also increases the footprint and can reduce the distance needed to read the whole composition. A smaller scale can clarify the overall plan, yet important ground-level relationships may disappear.

The Shenwan Jiuxu photographs illustrate why several viewpoints matter. The same model reads differently from the room entrance, at the edge of the base and at a lower eye level. Before fixing a scale, define the audience, viewing distance, priority details and display dimensions.

合适的模型比例不能只看图纸决定，还要同时考虑展厅大小、最近与最远观看距离、必须保留的信息，以及运输和安装条件。

比例增大可强化立面、景观和入口细节，但会增加占地并影响整体阅读；比例减小有利于理解总图，却可能丢失地面层关系。深湾玖序的多视角照片说明，同一模型在入口、基座边缘和较低视点下会呈现不同的信息层级。确定比例前，应先明确观众、观看距离、重点细节与展示尺寸。

Scale and pedestal decisions are easier to correct before fabrication than after installation. The Chengdu Zhonghai Tongzilin workflow materials in LHA's approved public portfolio show a practical sequence: define the model's display purpose, compare spatial options, preview the pedestal in the room, review model-expression details, and then check the completed display on site.

This process is not about making a rendering replace the physical model. It is about using an early spatial preview to reduce uncertainty around viewing distance, circulation, base dimensions and visual focus. The final photographs then provide a direct check against the intended presentation.

For developers, architects and exhibition teams, the benefit is a clearer decision path before production resources are committed.

An architectural model is read together with the room around it. In the approved public-portfolio photographs of the Shenwan Jiuxu model, the tower composition, landscaped ground plane, reflective base and exhibition lighting work as one presentation system.

The model gives viewers several levels of information: the overall massing from a distance, the relationship between towers and shared landscape at mid-range, and façade and arrival details at closer viewing points. The surrounding display space also matters. Sightlines, circulation, screen positions and reflections can either support the design story or compete with it.
