In 2011, in their early forties, Didier and Myriam left the Gers region of France with their five-year-old daughter.

One house sold, one business closed, three suitcases, and a property in Costa Rica where they dreamed of creating a small lodge, “El Tiriguro Lodge”...

What was meant to be a relatively simple project turned into fifteen years of unexpected changes: learning a new language, welcoming travelers from all over the world, facing the sudden halt of tourism during the COVID-19 pandemic, and then starting over once again, embracing new opportunities such as real estate.
