City of Oakland, California Sues Monsanto. Oakland filed a lawsuit holding Monsanto accountable for contamination of the city’s storm water & the San Francisco Bay with PCBs. Oakland is the 4th city this year to sue Monsanto, behind San Diego & San Jose, CA, and Spokane, WA. “The company that is responsible for this vast contamination should bear the burden of cleaning up our environment, not the taxpayers of Oakland and California. Monsanto knew that its products posed a significant threat to human and environmental health around the world. However, the company chose profits over protecting people, and American cities and citizens are still suffering the consequences” - Barbara J. Parker, Oakland City Attorney.

Keep the lawsuits piling on - bankrupt Monsanto.

I have known this for many years. Or at least, it was a strong suspicion......now my vegetarianism makes even more sense. Read this article, and the one below it as well, if you care about your health. Did you know that 3 strips of bacon a day increases your risk of colon cancer by 18%? I'd say that is significant. Eat mindfully, choose your foods for valid reasons, not only for their "flavor" - which is no reason to eat anything, actually.
