TRADITIONAL OR MODERN? 🏡

Costa Esterillos has always had a distinctive architectural character, but styles are changing.

The original vision of Costa Esterillos Estates was traditional Spanish/tropical architecture, terra-cotta tile roofs, arches, warm finishes and homes designed to blend into the Costa Rican landscape.

More recently, modern contemporary designs have introduced a very different look - low provide rooflines, concrete, glass, metal, large overhangs and a more noticeable indoor/outdoor style.

We're curious what homeowners and property owners envision for the future of Costa Esterillos.

COMMUNITY TRANSPARENCY 🌴

As an independent community page, this is a space where Costa Esterillos home and property owners can openly discuss issues, concerns and developments affecting the community, share relevant information, and stay connected. 🤝

With a new administration and committee structure in place, this is a good opportunity to maintain strong transparency between community leadership and shareholders throughout the year.

In addition to Assembly Notes, community members may benefit from regular updates on topics including, but not limited to:

• Current cash reserves and outstanding obligations
• Monthly security, water and maintenance expenses
• HOA collections and delinquency totals
• Status of the approximately 120+ lots with long-standing unresolved ownership/title issues
• Building Committee procedures and approval criteria
• Conflict-of-interest and recusal procedures for committee members with related business or financial interests
• Major contracts entered into on behalf of the community

If official information or documentation is available and appropriate for public sharing, we’re happy to make it accessible here for community discussion.

Costa Esterillos has an exciting opportunity for a fresh chapter. Open communication, transparency and an informed community can only help make that future stronger for everyone 🌅

For those who have been around Costa Esterillos for a while - what would you say has changed the most over the years?

New homes? More development? Roads and infrastructure? Property values? The overall feel of the community?

And for the newer owners and residents - what made you choose Costa Esterillos? 🌴 🇨🇷

It's been a while! I orginally created this commnity page about 10 years ago, and it's amazing to see the page has grown to 1,700 followers over the years.

I'd love to reconnect with the community and find out what's new at Costa Esterillos today 🏡🌊
