My high-level career in corporations and commuting hours each day had beat me up for two-and-a-half decades. After a visit to Costa Rica in 2011 and touring the country extensively, I put the wheels in motion to relocate from Canada, and made the leap in 2014, selling and donating my lifetime of possessions, home and vehicles and moved full-time to Costa Rica, creating and embracing my fabulous new life! I chose Ojochal, in the south Pacific region of Costa Rica, referred to as Costa Ballena (whale coast), which is known for unspoiled natural beauty, where the mountains meet the sea, lesser populated and richly biodiverse, with a fantastic assortment of top-quality restaurants (I’m a foodie!). Here I bought land and built a boutique hotel which had been a dream since childhood. The hotel remains a steady investment for me, under management by a wonderful couple welcoming guests from around the globe, while I focus full-time on my primary passion of servicing my clients in real estate.
