More than 50 years ago, my parents left the United States and made the life-changing decision to settle in Costa Rica. I was raised here in a unique off-grid setting, surrounded by nature, community, and a slower, more meaningful way of life.

I came back to Costa Rica, finished my education, built my career, married a Costa Rican, and together we raised our children here.

Living in the United States helped me realize that Costa Rica wasn't just where I grew up—it was where I wanted to build my future. It has always been my home, and I feel incredibly fortunate that my sons have been able to grow up surrounded by the same natural beauty, welcoming culture, and quality of life that I experienced.
