Planning a trip between Puntarenas and the Nicoya Peninsula?

The Puntarenas–Playa Naranjo ferry route will operate with only one vessel from July 30 through August 23 while the San Lucas II undergoes repairs. Two daily sailings will be suspended, and travelers should prepare for fuller boats and longer waits.

Booking ahead is strongly recommended, especially on weekends.
