This morning, I took a trip down to Playa Junquillal, a small village located about 30 minutes south of Playa Tamarindo. The road has recently been paved, except the last couple of kilometers, making it a quick and comfortable drive.

The 4 km beach is quite and has good surfing when there is swell. Playa Negra and Playa Avellanas are a short drive away too.

Building lots, condominiums, and a few small hotel properties are available for sale in the area. Beachfront condominiums are starting at $245,000.
