Casa Uvita is close enough to modern conveniences, but far enough to be immersed in the sights and sounds of Costa Rica's tropical wildlife. The house is completely self-sustaining, using solar energy and water from a natural spring. Enjoy the stunning Pacific Ocean and rainforest views from our two balconies, and do some world-class birdwatching!

The white hawk perched at Casa Uvita this morning. It’s the only bird of prey with both a white belly and white back. The White Hawk is more than just a beautiful bird. Its presence is a reminder of the delicate balance between “development” and the rainforest ecosystem.
