After operating their own company in the UK - Valley Property Developments-in which they completed refurbishments, internal works and several large "design and build" projects, Kevin and family decided to emigrate to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in September of 2006. In 2008 they were proud winners of the "Best Villa" category in the North Cyprus Property Awards for their luxury villa "Yuce Ev" (meaning "Grand House") built in Lapta. Organised by PropertyNC magazine, the awards were instigated to promote recognition in the North Cyprus construction industry where it was warranted and deserved. The selection criteria was strict and entrants had to present to the judges their portfolio of recently completed projects and allow site visits to enable the design and workmanship to be inspected. Testimonials from previous, satisfied customers were also submitted in support of each entrant. The judges were also impressed by Donegal Real Estate membership of the Federation of Master Builders and the fact that Kevin had been a long standing member of the FMB in the Midlands when he lived in the UK and given the reassurance customers derive from employing a builder who has been carefully vetted by a reputable organisation such as the FMB.
2008 also saw our involvement with the music charity show held in September at Kyrenia’s new amphitheatre to raise money for the children of the Special School for the Handicapped located in Karakum.
