Cyprus for Cypriots. Enough is Enough.
The Cyprus Government must immediately implement stringent immigration & work restrictions and put strict legislation in place on non EU persons or companies (owned by non EU nationals) buying more then 1 property per family and a total restriction on buying properties to let out. (making a business and hurting the local market).
Remember what happened in the 1980s the Cypriots revolted. Have we reached that stage?
The Cyprus investment program started 40 years ago, allowing non Cypriots to set up low tax companies and operate OUTSIDE of Cyprus.
Allowing them to set up LOCAL companies without restrictions has only harmed the Nation & the Cypriots.
It was a mistake which needs very strict controls.
These guests have grown so arrogant that they actually believe that they are here permanently and the Cypriots are stupid and obliging donkeys.
Yes Cypriots may be simple, honest and genuine people. But had they not been stubborn they would not have stayed on this Island for over 3000 years.
A stricter policy shift is well overdue.
We are giving these guests the privilege of being in Cyprus, but we should follow the World trend, we should only permit individuals and companies which are beneficial to the Cypriots.
Only the best for Cyprus.
The rest should go back to where they came from.
