Last August, following the devastating wildfires that affected several villages in Cyprus, The Warehouse, together with City Friends Club and the local event community, organized a charity music marathon “ONE ISLAND – ONE HEART.”
Thanks to everyone involved, we raised funds to support the affected areas in Souni and nearby villages.
The support extended across multiple locations, including Souni, Monagri, Malia, Lofou, and other communities impacted by the fires.
To help ongoing recovery and reduce future fire risks, professional tools and equipment were purchased and delivered. These included brushcutters, telescopic pruners, vegetation clearing tools, professional secateurs, and both professional and compact chainsaws.
Besides providing the equipment, the team of 14 City Friends Club members, using three trucks, cleared 20 burned homes and removed 47 truckloads of debris — including damaged structures, construction waste, furniture, and household items — helping families take the first steps toward rebuilding.
This project is a clear example of what can happen when businesses, communities, volunteers, and local residents come together.
Special thanks to the volunteers who took part in this initiative:
Anton Mironenko, Dana Turogina, Electra Kyriacou, Elina Kyriacou, Liza Sukhorukova, Maria Rapoport, Mario Polymniou, Roman Fomin, Tatiana Zadiraka.
Thank you for supporting Cyprus 🇨🇾
