🚑 Seeing more police cars or ambulances than usual in Pilsen this Wednesday? Don’t worry – nothing serious is happening.

Pilsen is running a planned emergency drill, so you might notice increased activity around:

📍 Lochotín Hospital
🕘 Time: approximately 9:00 – 15:00

There are no restrictions expected – traffic and daily life should continue as usual.

👉 If you’re nearby, just follow instructions from emergency services.

📢 EU Blue Card: Important Change from May 2026

From May 1, 2026, the minimum salary requirement for EU Blue Card holders is increasing.

👉 What does it mean for you?

If your salary does not meet the new required threshold, your Blue Card may not be extended.

⚠️ What are your options?

➡️ You may need to switch to an Employee Card
➡️ Your employer must register a new job position
➡️ The whole process needs proper timing and setup

❗ Good news

In many cases, you can continue working during the transition period (so-called “legal fiction”) – but only if everything is handled correctly.
