We are happy to present Climates and Cultures in History (CCH), a fully Open Access journal addressing the social, cultural, political and economic dimensions of climatic variability in human history around the world.

The journal will cover all periods of human history and aims to bring together the expertise of all the historical sciences: archaeology and ancient, medieval, early-modern and modern history. By this integrative approach, CCH hopes to create a thesaurus of knowledge about cultural interactions with the climate system, from the paleolithic to the present.
