My heart is heavy as I mourn the tragic collapse of the Jet Set roof in the Dominican Republic—a place that has long represented joy, music, and the spirit of our people. In this moment of deep sorrow, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families. May they find the strength to carry on, surrounded by love and supported by their community.
This tragedy has touched so many lives, including those of our cultural icons. Ruby Pérez, the highest voice in Dominican music and a true legend. His voice has lifted us through countless moments, and today, I hold him and all those affected in my thoughts and prayers.
To the families, I send love. To the victims, I send peace. And to my country, I send hope—hope that even in the darkest of times, we will find a way to rise again.
