🌿 Los Haitises National Park: History, Nature, and Mystery 🌿
Los Haitises National Park is not only one of the most spectacular landscapes in the Dominican Republic, but also a place filled with ancient history. Long before the arrival of Europeans, this area was inhabited by the Taíno people, the first inhabitants of the island, who used its caves as shelters, temples, and ceremonial spaces.
Inside the park, you can find impressive caves such as Cueva de la Línea and Cueva de la Arena, where Taíno pictographs and petroglyphs are still preserved. These images, painted and carved into the cave walls, represent human figures, animals, and spiritual symbols that reflect their connection with nature and their beliefs.
