I visited Juan Dolio Country Club expecting one of the better golf courses in the Dominican Republic, and unfortunately I left deeply disappointed. At USD $240 per round, the price is frankly indefensible given the actual condition of the course, which appears poorly maintained and largely neglected — well below what anyone paying a premium green fee has every right to expect.
Just as disappointing was the customer service, which fell short of even the most basic standards of hospitality. For a property positioning itself at the top of the market, the lack of attention and care was striking.
I genuinely cannot recommend this course. There are far better ways to spend both your time and your money in the Dominican Republic
