"Tram to the Airport and the New Line"
Tram service to Ülemiste City and the airport will fully resume on August 1, 2026, after a nearly three-year hiatus.
Trams to the Airport: Two Routes Instead of One
Previously, only one route (No. 4) ran to the airport. Now, thanks to a newly constructed track switch and a second turning loop, the airport and Ülemiste City will be served by two lines simultaneously:
• T2 (Kopli – Vanasadam – Lennujaam): Will directly connect the Kopli district, the Old Port (passenger terminals), and the Airport.
• T4 (Tondi – Lennujaam): Will connect the Tondi district, the city center, and the Airport.
The letter "T" is being added to the front of all tram numbers to make it easier for tourists and visitors to navigate the capital.
The City Will Introduce a Unified Timetable
Routes T1, T2, T3, and T4, along with the brand-new T6 route (Kopli – Suur-Paala, launching at the end of August), will run at a strict, fixed interval of exactly every 10 minutes. The T5 line will operate once every 20 minutes.
